Internship in Israel,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Jerusalem, Israel
"Internship in Israel" is a new and unique venture, initiated and operated
by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The objective of this program
is to strengthen the bond between young Jewish professionals world-wide
with the State of Israel through a long-term commitment, involving the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the participating interns and the host
institutions.
The program is open to graduates and third year students and up, ages
20-30. Interns will be accepted from a wide range of professions, and
every attempt will be made to place participants in government, public or
private institutions that match their areas of expertise.
The interns are expected to commence work in October 1999, immediately
after the High Holidays. Registration ends on 11th June 1999 and
acceptance letters will be sent out at the beginning of August.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the host institutes will cover the
cost of residence, medical insurance, tours and seminars. Flight fares
will be covered by the interns. However, in special cases, grants will be
provided.
As the title of this program suggests, the interns will not earn salaries.
They will, however, receive symbolic stipends to cover living expenses.
