Israeli observers at Nepalese elections

In accordance with a Nepalese request, Israel has sent official observers to the Nepalese elections, which are being held today.
The Constituent Assembly, to be formed after the elections, is to decide the future political setup of Nepal, the fate of the monarchy, and the future shape of the country.

Attack on the Nahal Oz fuel terminal

Shortly after 15:00, Palestinian terrorists fired a salvo of mortars at the Nahal Oz area and penetrated the fuel terminal. Two Israeli civilians employed at the terminal, which supplies the Gaza Strip with most of its fuel, were killed in the attack, which took place just after the latest delivery of fuel for the Gaza power plant funded by the European Union.

The main task of the newly established office is to escort members of the foreign press who arrive to report on the situation, to direct media attention to the human drama and to the realities of life in the region, and to escort the many foreign delegations who arrive in the city on official visits.
